The objective of Boulder Insurance Ltd.'s (Boulder) risk control resources is to provide members with claims and loss prevention services to help ensure a financially successful captive program.

Loss Prevention Consultant

Each member is provided with allocation funds for use in working with a loss prevention consultant. The role of the consultant is to partner with each particular member, engaging in proactive and preventative loss control services.

Claims Administration

Members have access to the latest technology and resources in managing claims. Partnership with Boulder’s third-party claims administrator includes special handling instructions, defined service expectations, online claims management systems, etc.

Risk Control Workshops

Boulder currently offers its members two annual Risk Control Workshops with a focus towards safety and claim management topics. Typically, there is a workshop held in the summer and one in the winter months. The agenda for each workshop is unique and the sessions are customized to meet member needs.

Monthly Webinars

Boulder members are invited to participate in monthly webinars, at no additional cost. Webinars are offered at 10am and 3pm (Central) on the 3rd Tuesday of each month, with presentations limited to no more than 60 minutes.

Member Portal

The Boulder Member Portal allows members to access information such as annual reports, board meeting information, member forum discussions, webinar recordings, risk control information, etc.

Boulder Risk Control Awards

Boulder annually recognizes those members that are successful in managing losses, actively participating in risk control events, and demonstrating a commitment to safety throughout their organization. Award winners are formally announced and recognized at the summer board meetings.
